reefr was born from a simple frustration — finding a compatible dive buddy is harder than it should be.
Every diver knows the feeling. You're planning a trip — maybe the Maldives, maybe a local wreck — and you need a buddy. So you post in Facebook groups, ask around at the dive centre, and hope for the best.
You show up, and realise you dive completely differently. They want to race through, you want to hover over a nudibranch for ten minutes. Or they're a beginner and you're a divemaster. The dive happens, but it's not the experience it could have been.
reefr is the answer to that problem.
We match divers on the things that actually make a difference underwater — your pace, your experience level, your dive styles, your travel plans, and your personality. The result is a dive buddy who feels like they were made for you.
Beyond matching, reefr is a community. A place to log your dives, share what you found, ask questions, and connect with a global network of people who share your obsession with the underwater world.
